The Florida Museum of Natural History

The Florida Museum of Natural History is Florida’s official state- sponsored and chartered natural history museum and is regarded as one of the nation’s top five museums. Its main facilities are located on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida. The museum houses over 40 million specimens and cultural artifacts, including one of the world’s largest collections of butterflies. Visitors can enjoy hundreds of exotic live butterflies from around the world in the award winning “Butterfly Rainforest” exhibit and explore the state’s exclusive habitats as well as its natural and cultural history in other exhibits.


The Harn Museum of Art

The Harn Museum of Art is an art museum located on the southwest part of the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida. The facility is one of the largest university art museums in the South, extending across 112,800 square feet. The Harn’s permanent collection focuses on Asian, African, modern and contemporary art as well as photography and totals over 11, 500 objects. The museum also offers an array of temporary exhibitions.
